Wow. The circle pad seems a bit too easy to break imo; don't think I've gone more than two weeks without hearing a story about a 3DS Circle pad breaking.

Really, that frequently? Yikes! Fingers crossed this clearly prominent issue was addressed somehow in the New 3DS. Or maybe lots of us are just reaching that point beyond the device's planned lifetime. After all, these things aren't built to last forever!

As far as I know it was more frequent on the older 3DS models. Seeing that on a New 3DS surprised me, not going to lie--was hoping they made the circle pads a bit sturdier.

They're definitely sturdier than the N64's Control Stick--those things wore out and broke pretty easily iirc.

Ah that's an old 3DS XL, it's easily approaching 2000 hours of play time..possibly more.. most of that on the circle pad. So I guess that's good wear *really*, I just wish the circle pads were more straight forward to replace.!

Oops, thought that was the new one.

How does one replace a broken 3DS circle pad, I wonder?
